    Checking In And Out

    • Check In after 4:00 PM
    • Checkout before 11:00 AM

Keys/House Entry:  You will be given a 4-digit code for the garage keypad before you arrive.  This will give you access to the house.  Input the 4-digit code and hit enter.  The right-hand garage door will open.  Please be sure to close it right away as the garage is heated during the winter!  On the kitchen island you will find the house manual, garage door opener and duplicate house keys that you can use to access the front door.

      Before You Leave:

      • Please return the house keys, garage door opener and house manual to the kitchen island.
      • Please put all trash in the garbage cans inside the garage and leave it there, except for Friday mornings (Trash Pickup Day).

Wi-Fi:  You will be given a password for the “Westview” network before you arrive.

Television/Music: The TVs have voice-activated Xfinity remote controls.  There is a SONOS High-Fidelity Bluetooth Sound System, so if you have the app, you can enjoy music in most of the house.

Recreation:  We have several fun games in a cabinet in the bunk room.

Workouts:  There is a full set of workout equipment in the garage available for your use.  The bikes in the garage are strictly off limits.  Please don’t use them.

Kitchen/Dining:  The kitchen is fully stocked with most any equipment you will need to make amazing meals.

Dishwasher:  There are two dishwashers.  To run a dishwasher, make your selection from the buttons along the top, add a dishwashing tablet or liquid (you can find them under the kitchen sink) and push the “Start” button on the far right.  When the cycle is complete you will see a green light that shines on the floor at the bottom right of the dishwasher.

Gas Grill: In the winter, the gas grill is in the garage and must be pulled out into the driveway for use.  In the summer, it is on the back deck. When you are not using the grill, please be sure that the propane tank is turned all the way off.

Steam Showers:  All the bathrooms have a steam shower and all you have to do is push the “ON” button.  It takes several minutes to heat up and it stays on for about 15 minutes.  It will automatically shut off or you can hit the “off” button.

Towels/Linens:  In an effort to conserve water and energy, we would prefer for you to use your towels more than one time.  The laundry room has a full-size washer and dryer.  The extra towels are in the laundry room and the extra sheets and the linens for the sofa beds are in the hall linen closet on the bottom floor.

Trash:  As you fill trash bags during your stay, you can tie them up tightly and put them in the garbage cans inside the garage.  We do recycle, so please rinse out any glass, plastic, or aluminum containers and put them in the green “Recycle” garbage can.  Trash pick-up is early on Friday mornings. It’s best to roll the trash cans out to the curb early & first thing.  Place them in the street with the handles facing the house.

Housekeeping/Departure: Please leave your beds unmade and put any dirty towels on the bathroom floors.

Air Transportation:  To check your flight status, view arrival and departure information on channel 8.

      Summertime Bear Precautions!  PLEASE READ!

Trash:  Please be sure to put all trash in the garbage can INSIDE THE GARAGE WITH THE LID SECURELY CLOSED. If there is trash sitting out (even on the back deck) it can attract bears.

Windows:  At night, be sure to securely close the windows that would be bear accessible.

Doors:  To lock the doors, turn the knob vertically, pull up on the handle then turn the knob horizontally.

Grilling:  If you use the grill, be sure to clean it thoroughly.  The scent of food will attract bears.

Cars:  Be sure to lock any cars that are outside.  The bears know how to get in your car and rummage through it.  We know from personal experience!
