Summer

Hello guests and visitors!  Welcome to beautiful Aspen, Colorado, where summer is a time of boundless exploration and unforgettable experiences.  This is a personal and curated list of our favorite activities.  There’s always something new to try or see!

1. Hiking:  If you’re interested in hiking, check out our dedicated Hiking page.

2. Road Biking:  Take a ride up some of the same mountain passes that one of the world’s greatest cyclists does.  Aspen resident, Tour De France competitor and USA Pro Challenge winner, Tejay van Garderen does some of his training here, which serves as a testament to the excellent road-biking conditions in the valley.  Some rides, such as the roads to Maroon Bells and Independence Pass are devoid of vehicles during certain hours & seasons and are perfect for high-altitude training.

3. E-Biking:  Cruising the streets and designated paths surrounding the towns of Aspen and Snowmass on an e-bike is one of the best (and easiest) ways to experience the area in the warmer months.

4. Mountain Biking: In 2020, the entire Roaring Fork Valley was deemed a Gold-Level Ride Center by the International Mountain Biking Association, which honors the world’s best destinations for mountain bikers of all levels.  Get your adrenaline pumping on trails at Sky Mountain Park, the Hunter Creek Trail System, Snowmass Bike Park or just cruise around our picturesque valley and enjoy the sights.

5. Biking to Woody Creek Tavern:  Enjoy a 6-mile downhill ride to Woody Creek Tavern, a beautiful lunch spot.  We recommend riding there and taxiing back. When you call for a taxi, make sure they have a bike rack.

6. Golf:  If you’re interested in golf, check out our dedicated Golf page.

7. Tennis:  If you’re interested in tennis, check out our dedicated Tennis page.
